The Political, Strategic and Planning Instruments constitute important tools for construction of the bases and creation of the indispensable conditions for sustainable development and Good Governance of the Country.

Crosscut Instruments

The political, strategic and multi-sectorial planning instruments, namely the Government Programme and the National Development Plan define the great orientation lines that are indispensable for planning, acting and sectorial synergies.

Sectorial Instruments

Sectorial development is a major challenge for the implementation of strong basis necessary to reach sustainable development and economic growth, at local and national level. The political, strategic and planning sectorial instruments define the great orientations lines and actions of the sector.

Resolution nº 3/2000 of 31 January that approves the National Biodiversity strategy and Action Plan.
Resolution nº 29/2003 of 29 December that approves the National Sanitation Policy.
Resolution nº6/2004 of 18 February that approves the National Food security Strategy and its five-year Programme.
Resolution n.º 3/2005 , of 21 February that approves the Fishing Resources Management Plan.
Resolution n.º 14/2005 of 25 April that approves the Second Action Plan for the Environment, PANA II, for the 2004-2014 horizon, as an instrument for implementation of national policies in the environment area.
Resolution 16/2005 of 9 May that approves the Agricultural Development Strategic Plan for the 2015 horizon and the 2005-2008 Action Plan.
